Blogging still in nascent stage in India
November 28th, 2006 at 08:01 pm by ashok in blogIndian blogging is still in nascent stage with only14% of netizens are blogging regularly. This is the finding of Blogging India: An MSN and Windows Live Report released on monday.
Some other notable finding of the reports are :
A good number I suppose.
I think 24% is not bad figure. It appears they will catch the male bloggers soon.
Ya, I myself read many blogs written by teenagers, and bloggers in early tweenties. And they have good grasp on the topic they write.
Because technology is taste of youth.
I think many bloggers spend more than 5 hours daily on reading and updating blog, and some even spend 5 hours to write an article.

FOR EXAMPLE MOST OF THE YAHOO GROUPS NOW ALSO RUNNING BLOGS AT BLOGGER.COM . I FOUND SOME GROUPS LIKE CHOCOBLAST , CHUPPA RUSTAM AND MANY OTHERS……
Hello ashok,
Great post,
I was not aware of some of these facts.
Interesting stats !
Blogging is catching up in India, and hey, i know quite a number of females blogging. (not tech ofcourse)
I’m however, surprised to see that personal blogs aren’t included in the most-visited stats. After all, personal blogs are way more common to us than Tech blogs and the likes.
Hi,
@Mr.Cool : Its catching up in India but to be honest its not proffesional.People just write for sak of writing. It will take time.
@Atul : I agree with you.Not even yahoo but many it companies( i dont have the names) had started blogging section( not in india) for blogging on their products and other facts
