I came to know about contest going on Dailyblogtips on last day. I quickly created an entry and posted in the contest. Total 114 blogs participated in the contest. I found many of entries intersting and posted comment on them. Still there are many to visit. Will visit them in next 1 or 2 days. One of the things which i like in blogging is contests and group activities which going on in blogosphere.

When I started my blog in last August, one of the plan in my mind was to run contest etc in my blog. I first started a contest for technorati favorite exchange and get good results. There were around 20 participants, although my blog was very new at that time. After that i got busy in my hosting business and other activities and did not get the time to organize any contest. But whenever I saw some contest or similar activities in blogosphere I try to participate in that. The three main reasons for participating in contest are

1. Getting Notice: If we participate in any contest, we get noticied from fellow bloggers, who also participated in that contest.
2. Getting Links : Many contest in blogospehere result in good quantitiy of quality backlinks to your blog. And I think everyone know the importance of quality backlinks, not only you will get traffic from that you will also get boost in your search engine position because of quality backlinks.
3. And Last but not least is you have the chance to win good prize from contest.

A back up server is very important for any site. The backup software should be reliable too. The threat of data loss rises with frequency of online file sharing. This is why the system s own hard drive data recovery should be in top working condition. Membership in an online data recovery group helps too.

First of all I would like to thank everyone who participated in this contest. Although prize money was not big but still they took the time to participate. For those who are new to my blog, I started a contest on Nov. 17. The contest was simple, participant had to add my blog to their technorati favorite.

Total 18 people participated in the contest. To remain fair with everyone while making draw, I excluded those who added my blog in their favorite as a part of favorite exchange deal.

Since I told in begining if there will be more than 10 participant, I will add more prize, so I decided to add 3 consolation prizes. These prize are premium link for one month in my blog. All other participants has got a link in my blogroll for minimum 3 months. You can see above in head part the link of three consolation prize winner.

As many of you are aware I am running a contest for adding my blog in technorati favorite list. I was expecting that maximum 10 people will participate in this contest. But already 11 people has participated in it. Now I have decided that everyone who will add my blog in their favorite list will get a backlink from my blog for minimum three months. Probably link will stay longer, but guarantee is of three month. Those who have already added my blog, will soon find their link in my blog.

This week my alexa rank is 276,691, whereas it was above 1100,000 in the starting of Nov., so you may expect a good quantity of traffic from my site, if you get a backlink from my blog. Also I hope to break 100,000 barrier within next three month and by that time I hope I will also get a decent PR.
