With Windows Vista has been launched with so much fan fare, after a wait of five years. Now the question is how much will Windows Vista Cost you.

 

According to Microsoft the Windows Vista Home Basic cost will be same as Windows XP home edition i.e Rs. 3500/. The Vista Home Premium edition will cost Rs 9,000 plus taxes. Vista Business Rs. 11000/- plus taxes and Vista Ultimate Rs. 15000/- plus taxes.

 

According to Microsoft Windows Vista pre loaded PC retail price will start from Rs. 22000/- in which estimated OS cost would be around 10 -12 percent i.e around Rs. 2500/-.

Microsoft has partnered with The Cloud , the leading Wi-Fi service operator of UK to give this offer to their customer. Offer is valid till Apr 30.

 

Wi-Fi is still not very common in India, and there are not many hotspots in india. Hope Microsoft will offer some other similar thing to Indian customer.

Microsoft today announced that it has completed the code of Office 2007 system. MS office is Microsoft’s cash cow, it is theirs best selling product. MS office is consist of Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook and some other applications.

While some enterprise customer will get Office 2007 by Nov. 30, for others it will not be available untill early 2007. However if someone want to try office 2007, 60 day fully functional trial version wil be available from Dec 1, 2006.

According to PC World blog Office 2007 documents will be based on Microsoft’s new Office XML Formats, which have been made publicly available and should eventually allow for greater compatibility with third-party productivity software.
