ChaCha Human Powered Search Engine.
September 5th, 2006 at 10:52 pm by ashok in GeneralA new human powered search engine Chacha.com was launched today. I came to know about this through webmasterworld.com. The thing which make it different from other search engines is that real human guide will answer your query.
However when I visit there site was down for maintenance with following message

According to searchengine watch blog
Brad Bostic, co-founder of ChaCha, said that the site had lined up about 2500 guides at launch: college students, retirees, stay-at-home moms and others “who are online all day anyway.” But not just anyone can become a guide apparently; you have to be “sponsored” (invited by an existing guide) and work your way up a hierarchy consisting of four levels.
