Google share increasing

According to latest data released by Nielsen/Netrating in their latest report October U.S. Search Share Rankings , Google share in search result reaches to 49.6%. Total 3 billion searches were conducted on Google in month of October.

Google’s nearest competitor Yahoo is distant second with 23.9% market share, total no. of search conduted on yahoo in oct were 1.5 billion. MSN, which includes Windows Live performed 538 million search was third with 8.8% market share.

Other search engines who make their place in top ten were AOL (6.2%), ask.com (2.8), My Way (2.2 percent), EarthLink Search and Comcast Search (1 percent each), and BellSouth Search and iWon (0.5 percent each).
