Another Good Source of Traffic
September 13th, 2006 at 09:13 pm by ashok in TrafficYesterday when I check my stat in Google Analytics, I was surprised to find 40 referals from stumbleupon.com. When I visit the referal page http://www.stumbleupon.com/refer.php and enter my domain name I found that my website was given a thumbsup by a user, that user was not unknown to me she was Carol, with whom I had a discussion on technobytez forum about stumbleupon.com and how to bring traffic on blogs.
Stumbleupon is not a new site, but it has gain popularity in recent past. It want its member to download a browser toolbar, which contain some buttons. The most important one is stumble buton when you press stumble button a new website is loaded on your browser depending upon your preference. Another important buttons are thumbsup and thumbsdown. If you like any page you can press thumbsup button, and that page will be added in stumbleupon database.
But I assume that traffic coming through stumbleupon is not very targeted and 90% of visitors leave the page within 10 seconds after viewing the page by again clicking stumble button.
