eWebGuru Directory
June 8th, 2007 at 01:50 pm by ashok in WebI was thinking since last many months to start a directory. I researched for directory scripts, researched on domain name etc. Also study the directory market. Found that there is potential in directory market.
I am regular in digital point forum, maximum time I spend in market place of digital point which is quite active, infact many people there are making loads of money in market place by selling their services, links or sites.
I myself had sold one site few months ago in digital point market place. From their I found that directories are hot product and many people show interest in buying directories, or purchasing links in directories.
Ultimately I zeroed on phpld script. It is a paid script cost $25, I bought that script and installed in ewebguru.net, that domain was lying with me since last couple of months, without any use.
Presently I am selling listing at $5 per year for regular link and $15 per year for featured link. Reciprocal listing are free.

I’m curious to know what value your directory will provide. Are you going to do much to drive traffic to the directory, thus onward to the directory’s listings?

Generally people submit in directories not for traffic but to gain PR.
What presently I am trying is to get good PR for my directory.
Getting traffic to my directory is also in my priorites, will work on it.
